STEWART COPELAND'S BIRTHDAY PARTY
Backstage Cafe, Beverly Hills - July 16, 2003
"Every nuance, every guitar riff, all the drum parts, and the singer has Sting down to a tee..."
- STEWART COPELAND, drummer & founder of THE POLICE
Brooks "Bee" Lundy from Bay Area Police tribute band STUNG had the amazing fortune of meeting and jamming with a hero - THE POLICE founder & drummer STEWART COPELAND - while performing at Stewart's "surprise" birthday party at the Backstage Cafe in Beverly Hills, CA.
To everyone's surprise, Stewart jumped behind the kit and played raucous versions of The Police classics "Driven To Tears" and "Roxanne" while an amazed crowd of friends and family looked on, including both his legendary brothers, Ian Copeland and Miles Copeland III.

Stewart's thoughts on the playing with a Police Tribute band:
"Every nuance, every guitar riff, all the drum parts, and the singer has Sting down to a tee..."
"...Every now and then when everything seems normal, some little thing happens to remind me that it was really important to some people."
- STEWART COPELAND
Drummer & founder of THE POLICE

All we can say is:
"Thanks, Stewart!"
